Hi, my name is Kenneth Berger, and I wanted to make a video to address what happens for people who have been injured in crashes with Amazon vehicles. We all know Amazon at this point. They've become very very popular and because of that, they've got tons of vehicles out on the road.
There are a lot of different types of cars that they're using right now. Amazon is using everything from the Amazon Prime semi-trucks, to the sprinter vans that we see, all the way down to what is known as Amazon flex vehicles, and that's where people are using their own cars, but doing it under Amazon's banner or umbrella to make these deliveries. And an important thing to know is that no matter what type of car delivery service the Amazon driver was using, if they are in the process of making a delivery, then they should be covered by Amazon's insurance policies.
If you end up being in a crash with one of these Amazon vehicles, what you want to do is handle it almost like you would any other wreck. Ok? You want to make sure law enforcement is involved. You want to make sure you get a copy of the accident report for your insurance company. That accident report will also give you the Amazon driver's information, of course, and start giving us some information about which insurance company or companies will provide coverage for the collision.
Another thing you're going to want to do if you're involved in a wreck with one of these Amazon vehicles is to at least get a free consultation from a lawyer. These cases can be a little sticky, and a little complicated since Amazon uses so many independent contractors and so many subsidiaries and third parties to deliver their goods.
