In April 2012, a two-year old child sustained a serious head injury at an Orangeburg daycare. Though the Defendant and their insurance company claimed their was nothing that could have been done to prevent the injury, a confidential settlement was ultimately reached.
The money the toddler's family received was placed in an annuity, with the hope that it will pay a large portion of the little girl's college tuition when the time comes.
